On with the tips...

Helium Balloons

Helium balloons are fun for the young and young-at-heart! They make festive decorations or giveaways at any event carnivals, fairs, open houses, school or church events, bar/bat mitzvahs, weddings, sports events or grand openings.

Before you rent a balloon inflator or helium tank, know how many balloons you need to determine what size cylinder to rent. Review your needs with us, or if you so choose, your rental center professional to make the proper balloon, balloon inflator and helium tank selections for your event.

Any pressurized gas is potentially hazardous. Helium is a non-flammable, colorless, odorless, tasteless, inert, nontoxic gas, but it is a hazard as an asphyxiant in that it can deprive the lungs of oxygen.

Planning the Perfect Business or Family Picnic

When planning any occassion, it is important to have a checklist of things to purchase, rent, food, etc. On your checklist, always specify a planned date and location. There is no point in having a picnic if the park is not opened at the time you desired.

Form a commitee and assign each person a specific job or task. While you go make the reservations, have another person do the shopping, and another make the rentals or purchases. The more people on your commitee, the less amount of work you will have to do yourself (not to mention the less hit on your wallet).

Once you have a site reserved, you should start by making a list of equipment needed. Always think about the occassion. If you are planning a family picnic, it is all right to go with plastic utensils and paper plates. But for a business picnic, you may want to go with silverware and flatware. Do not forget that you may need umbrellas, depending on your climate and time of year. Nothing is worse than a wet picnic.

What type of entertainment should there be? If kids are involved, wide open parks for ball playing is a must. For the younger kids, consider hiring clowns or even learning how to do magic tricks. You may want to also consider bands, DJs, or stereo equipment for the business picnics.

Make it an event for everyone to remember and look forward to next year!
